Kara Urus beagle kennels (certificate of registry FCI760/97) is in the beagle breeding business for 20 years!
The kennels were founded in 1989 under the name of “Veles”. In 1994 after massive expansion the name was changed to “Grand Veles”, to become one of the first kennels registered by RKF under #8. To our regrets, in 1997 the name had to be changed to “Kara Urus” due to FCI’s refusal to register the kennels under the old name. Still, “Kara Urus” bears its new name with honor, so it is now well known not only in Russia, but in Europe or even in the whole world.

Now in “Kara Urus” kennels we keep 5 breeding he-dogs and 25 breeding she-dogs, among them 2 Multichampions, 10 Interchampions, Grandchampions of Russia and Ukraine, champions of the National Club “BEAGLE”, champions of Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, Yugoslavia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarusia, Lithuania and Estonia, also champions of “Eurasia” in 2006-2008, RKF champions, Junior Champion of Europe, Junior Champion of Russia, class winners and nominees of the European Championship of various years. Among our breeding dogs are 2 Russian Champions in working qualities.
The kennels has also won several kennels contests. Our dogs have more than once won such honorable and hard-to-win contests as BIG (Best In Group), JBIS (Junior Best In Show), BIS (Best In Show), and also the most difficult “Pairs Contest”
In our breeding work we apply the following basic principles:
·Beagle has to be strong, healthy and pleasant in communication, steady in psychic setup and with good temper;
·Proper anatomy and good movements are the inalienable qualities of a beagle with pedigree.
·Only the best dogs are worth using in breeding;
To these reasons are beagles from our kennels not only best for shows, but also good pets and companions. Some owners use them for hunting, and not without success as well.
“Kara Urus” beagles can be found anywhere in Russia from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, others have found love and care in Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, USA, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Armenia.
“Kara Urus” kennels offer 6-week-old puppies and grown-up dogs of one of the three basic classes: show, breed or pet. All the puppies have brands, puppy cards, veterinary passports, and are vaccinated according to their age. We provide veterinary care, consult dog owners and support them in upbringing of their puppies, help find the proper dog food, etc. We can take care of your pet while you are away from home for a business trip or vacation.
For those who come for mating their dogs we can provide accommodation where dogs are allowed. Our kennels maintain friendly and professional relations with all the owners. Becoming an owner of one of our puppies, you are welcome to our “beagle-fanciers club”. We hold our own shows, travel together to shows in Moscow and other parts of Russia, take part in various contests, photo-sessions and filmings. Our club is the place where merry, cheerful and industrious people are always welcome. Lots of dog owners with other breeds as well as beagles with pleasure take part in our club life.
